The Andaman Islands are known for their coral reefs and crystal clear waters. So far, about 200 varieties of corals have been documented from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, which is the highest in this part of the world. There are fringing reefs scattered throughout the territory and there are also many luxuriant coral banks in the adjoining open sea. Bright tropical fishes in many shapes and forms along with a vast number of amazing marine creatures are abundant in and around these coral reefs. Just to name a few: butterfly fishes, clown/damsel/anemone fishes, scorpion fishes, wrasses, parrot fishes, surgeon fishes and sea horses. Snorkelling trips are organized on request. Game Fishing in Havelock

In the Andaman's, one does not have to be a "serious" fisherman, you do not need to be very experienced... there is a lure and there are the fish...catching fish is not rocket science. For the longest time, the island folk have used (and still do!) rusted hooks, sardines and mono filament to hook sailfish and yellow-fin tuna, they have battled these monsters by hand. For the experienced angler, the Andaman Sea provides you with great chances of hooking king mackerel, barracuda, green job fish, coral trout, yellow fin tuna, giant trevally, snook, sailfish, dorado and marlin.
