How To Reach Andaman Island

Andaman Islands can be reached in 2 Ways.

By Availing Flights from Cities Such as Kolkata, Chennai, Bhubaneswar and Delhi.
By Availing Ships operated by Government of India from Chennai, Kolkata and Vizag.
The Veer Savarkar Airport, an International Airport is located in the capital town of Port Blair, the gateway to Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Port Blair, is connected with Chennai, Kolkata, New Delhi and Bhubaneswar by air. Air India, Jet Airways, Go Air, Spice Jet, Indigo & Air Vistara Airlines operate regular flights. Foreign chartered flights are also permitted to land at Port Blair subject to the fulfillment of guidelines of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

Regular passenger ship services are available to Port Blair from Chennai, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam and back. There are three to four sailings every month from Kolkata and Chennai to Port Blair and vice-versa. There is only one sailing for Visakhapatnam in a month. The voyage takes about 50 to 60 hours during fair weather.

How to Reach Neil Island

There are at least two ferries that go to Neil from Phoenix Bay Jetty in Port Blair, everyday.One can choose a government or private ferry. Every second day a ferry boat leaves from Long Island to Port Blair, stopping in Havelock and afterwards at Neil. Check timetables and prices online or at the ticket counter as they change often.booking is possible though. Don’t forget the photocopies of your permit, visa and passport before queuing.

These ferries are run by the government Shipping Corporation of India. Currently they are running ferries early morning and early afternoon. Schedules can change without notice. Advance bookings are possible for Indian passport holders. Foreign passport holders are required to produce their RAP before they will issue tickets. For a small service fee, we can send our staff to coordinate this for you, please give us a few days notice. Contact us for updated rates & schedules.
